#30 Wilkes Handles Ithaca, 25-11

Matthias Keib is the 31st Bomber to post 30 wins in a season
Wilkes-Barre, Pa. – The Bomber wrestling team suffered a 25-11 loss to 30th-ranked Wilkes Saturday, drawing the team to an even 7-7 in dual matches on the season.

Ithaca’s three victories were sandwiched in between seven losses, including the end of a 20-bout win streak for Jad Duca (South Brunswick/Monmouth Junction, N.J.) at 157 pounds. At 174 pounds, third-ranked Matthias Keib (G. Ray Bodley/Fulton) won by technical fall at 4:08, while at 165 senior Brian Lockard (Upper Dublin/Dresher, Pa.) won a 5-4 decision. Keib now has 30 victories on the season and is the lone undefeated Bomber in dual matches. Fifth-ranked Robert Stubbs (MacArthur/Levittown) stands just three wins away from 100 on his career after winning a 3-2 decision at 184 pounds.

The Bombers have little layover before their next action, hosting Cortland Tuesday at the Ben Light Gymnasium at 7 p.m.
